Hello to all curious kids and animal fanatics!
Believe it or not, Kids’ Animal Station was made by a kid just like you! I’m Zoe. I created Kids’Animal Station when I was only 8 years old; I have always been a lover, researcher, and protector of animals, eager to follow every lead in the pursuit of discovery!
When you look at my older posts compared to my newer ones, I hope that you’ll take interest in how my writing has evolved and continued to change over time. In true child-like fashion, I have pondered openly about subjects shallow and deep, from the poo-flinging habits of the rhinoceros to the potential of tiny houses as future sustainable living homes. And I was shocked to see that other kids not only listened, but reached out as well. We’ve pondered, discussed, laughed and cried here.
As I wrote on the mark of my 50th KidsAnimalStation.com blog post in 2015, when I was about 10 years old:
“In the three years I have been writing for KidsAnimalStation, I learned something very interesting: Animals seem to be the bond between humans. I noticed this when I look at how many people from different places read my blog. No matter where you are from, how you look, and what you believe in, animals help form bonds between all humans. It can be starting small talk with a stranger because you have a dog or letting a kid pet your dog; humans’ collective love for animals brings people closer together, which is why I think we should treat animals the same way we treat other humans, because humans are animals too.”
That summarizes pretty well why I blog here at KidsAnimalStation.com! I know it’s a bit cliche but I really believe that you never know where your passions will lead you. And I mean YOUR passions, not your sister’s, or your parent’s, or your friend’s or even your puppy’s (which, if your dog is anything like mine, sniffing and peeing)…So follow them!
Thank you for visiting! I hope you’ll come back. And, if you want to reach out, please do!
Warmly,
Zoe, the Founder of KidsAnimalStation.com

Hi Zoe!
I’m writing to you from Norway. My name is also Zoe, i’m 11 years old and half American half Norwegian.
I was just looking around and I found your blog. I think your blog is very interesting, cool and you write really well!
I love animals too! I want too be a vet when I grow up (also maybe an actress).
I have two cats named Sasha and Lola. I have been writing a weekly blog about them since I was ten. I write it as if it’s them talking. It’s called 2 Blogging Cats. Here is the link if you want to check it out:

Keep up the good work! I look forward to reading more of your posts!

Hello Zoe!
I’m really sorry that I never got the chance to respond back. It sorta slipped out of my hands~ Anyway, I looked at your blog, and I think it’s really cool! Your two cats, Lola and Sasha, are very cute, and I can tell that you like animals just as much as I do. I hope that school and whatnot is going well. I would very much like to hear about what life is like in Norway! What’s your favorite animal? For me, it’s a hard decision, but I really like rats. Do you like to write (fiction or non-fiction)? I like to write short stories. By the way, I think it’s sort of a funny coincidence that, not only do we have the same name, but we’re also the same age, and we both have a blog about animals. Maybe we can write back and forth? I liked reading about your cats, and I was very interested in your fun fact about how the most common animals with two-heads are snakes and turtles. Really interesting!
Thanks, Zoe
