For kids who love animals by a kid who loves animals
My name is Zoe, and I am a 16 year old from Denver, Colorado. I founded the Kids’Animal Station blog when I was 8 years old, because I was then, as I am now, a lover, researcher, and hope-to-be-protector of animals. I also have always liked to write, and am a Creative Writing major at an arts magnet school. When you look at some of my older posts compared to my newer ones, I hope that you’ll see and take interest in how my thinking about animals and the art of writing have changed over time. And I’m sure it will keep evolving!
As I wrote on the mark of my 50th KidsAnimalStation.com blog post in 2015:
In the three years I have been writing for KidsAnimalStation, I learned something very interesting: Animals seem to be the bond between humans. I noticed this when I look at how many people from different places read my blog. No matter where you are from, how you look, and what you believe in, animals help form bonds between all humans. It can be starting small talk with a stranger because you have a dog or letting a kid pet your dog; humans’ collective love for animals brings people closer together, which is why I think we should treat animals the same way we treat other humans, because humans are animals too.
That summarizes pretty well why I blog here at KidsAnimalStation.com.
Thank you for visiting; I hope you’ll come back. And, if you want to reach out, please do!
