Yea or Nay? Is Beaver Anus a ‘Natural Flavor’?

Apparently, some food companies put beaver anus in some types of gelatin, pudding, gum, soft and hard candy, baked goods and frozen dairy products. The beaver-anus product is called castoreum, but companies get to call it “natural flavor.”

So, do you think this a good thing? Do you think the humans at food companies should be allowed to not tell us what they are putting in the food we eat???

I think this is wrong, because I think I have the right to know what people are putting in the food I’m going to put in my mouth! I want to know if it might get me sick or just get me plain grossed out.

So when you are voting, think about the next time you bite into gelatin, pudding, gum, soft and hard candy, baked goods and frozen dairy products, because they might have badger anus in them!

If you want to stop food companies from putting beaver anus in your food without telling you, sign this petition, too.

Think beaver anus! (YUCK!)
